Clock ticking

Time is running out on my island. Every recent change reduces the quality of life here and in a couple of years I can see it being no better than most of the UK.

This morning I started looking into a Canadian visa, it looks like despite being over 30 now I still qualify on the points scale, so I might as well go to the trouble of submitting an application. Nothing to lose after all !

If anyone's got any advice about this sort of thing I'd love to hear it !

Tan - go for it!

My partner and I are almost through. Had our medicals and will hopefully get our visas early next year.

They have changed the Skilled Workers route quite a bit over the last year. Does your job fit in 38 job categories?

If it does, you could get your visa in about a year.

Yeah, I'm lucky enough to fit the skilled worked as my job is a system analyst/developer primarily with investment management systems based on SQL Server 05 :)

A year to get the visa !! I had better get started sooner rather than later.
